TONIGHT ONLY!
Pinky as The Pinkman and Brain as Sledge Hammer
A Mousical Sensation!
Pinky and the Brain are shown as punk rockers, with outlandish hair and accessories. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot burst through the poster, and Yakko says, "Hey! Whose comic is this anyway?" Wakko is eating part of the poster.
The United Nations is having a fundraiser ball, to be attended by all the world's leaders. The Brain quickly hatches a plan to take over the world: he will use special laughing gas to freeze the leaders, then replace them with wax replicas controlled by a microchip which will respond to his commands.
There's only one problem: How to get into the ball? The Brain settles on going as a pair of rock musicians. They ship their supplies to the ball disguised as band equipment, then buy costumes for themselves. They're recognized as musicians upon arriving at the ball, and take the stage, where the Brain proceeds to tell a joke to trigger the laughing gas. The joke sails over the audience's heads, being funny only to someone of his intellect, and Pinky manages to save the day by telling one that's so bad it's funny.
The audience freezes on schedule, and the duo makes wax replicas of the leaders. Unfortunately, Brain's plan has a fatal flaw: The wax reacts explosively with the laughing gas...
Headline in the newspaper: "Visiting Dignitary Turns Out To Be Giant Chicken".
The Whole ACME Catalog, The Choice of Discriminating Coyotes Everywhere.
The rock store is Dante's Den, and the sign in the door reads "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here".
The gas cylinders are labeled "Copyright The Brain". You can't copyright a gas. I suspect they meant to use the trademark symbol instead. (page 2)
Pinky's nose has a highlight where it should be covered with wax. (page 14)Ralph is once again chasing the Warners around the lot, mad because Wakko dropped his pistachio nut fudge, floorwax, and brussels sprout ice cream cone in his pants. While digging through his gag bag looking for a means of escape, Wakko finds an old Bupperware container. The Warners make it back to the tower, and Wakko cleans out the container...or at least starts to - for when he opens it, a beautiful genie pops out and grants him three wishes.
The Warners give the genie a hard time, and she gets angry with them. They start to discuss what they want to wish for; Wakko wants more ice cream, but Dot and Yakko take exception to that idea. They have an overnight discussion about what to wish for, and can't arrive at an agreement. Wakko wishes for a big breakfast, awakening the genie, who had gone to sleep while they were talking. After eating the impossibly large breakfast, Wakko decides that they're his wishes, darnit, and he wishes for all the pistachio nut fudge, floorwax, and brussels sprout ice cream he can eat.
Yakko and Dot see what's coming, or so they think, but are temporarily disappointed when just one cone appears...but then are vindicated as increasingly huge quantities of ice cream appear, flooding them out of the tower. Wakko manages to eat all of it anyway, then feels so sick that he wishes that he'd never found the Bupperware in the first place. That's the third wish, and so is granted.
Sign on soundstage: "Stage 6 7/8".
Wakko's bag includes a Duck Dodgers comic book and Pinky and the Brain.
Name references: Lauren Beckancall is Lauren Bacall; Robin Zillians is Robin Williams, a reference to his (uncredited) voicing of the genie in the Disney movie Aladdin. (JW)
The "floorwax" in the ice cream name is a reference to the famous "It's a floorwax and a dessert topping!" skit from the first season of Saturday Night Live.
The background around Yakko's head is miscolored as he's putting on his thinking cap. (page 18)
Wakko appears to be wearing pants in one frame, but it's probably just a coloring error. (page 19)
The ice cream on Dot and Yakko's heads disappears from one frame to the next. (page 23)Christopher Columbus' expedition has been at sea for two months, and his crew is on the brink of mutiny. Just as the crew is about to throw him overboard, he spots something which he thinks is land, but turns out to be the Warners in a rowboat. Columbus tells them about his quest for a new trade route, and Yakko decides that he needs their help.
The Warners start to remodel Columbus' ship, and he objects vehemently; they tie him up and finish the job, producing a high-powered hydrofoil. The crew sights land soon after, and the Warners leave before they find out that what they've found isn't Asia.
Eyes in the air intake on the hydrofoil.
All three Warners wear traditional sailor outfits throughout, and Wakko wears a sailor cap instead of his baseball hat. Both are out of character for Dot and Wakko; Dot almost always wears a skirt, and Wakko almost always wears his baseball hat even if another is normally called for - and when it's not a baseball cap, it's still always red.
Wakko's tongue is very seldom hanging out.
The highlights on the Warners' noses are often colored the same red as the rest of them.
