Synopsis

Bugs arrives at Loch Ness without realizing he wound up there rather than Palm Beach. The rabbit relaxes in the water with the help of an inflatable toy to help him float. Mistaking the toy for the Loch Ness monster, Sam attacks and deflates it. Bugs wants payment for a replacement and Sam isn't about to pay it.

Back on his boat, Sam sees what appears to be the neck and head of the Loch Ness monster and moves in closer. Misjudging distance in the fog, Sam wrecks his boat when he collides with a surfacing submarine. The Commodore General, Bugs, asks about the attack and Sam tries to explain it was hunting accident. Sam is told he needs to pay for a monster hunting license and for the replacement floater.

After Bugs has the submarine dive, Sam swims ashore and is welcomed into a shop that supplies monster hunters. The proprietor, Bugs again, warns Sam about the dangers by showing his wooden leg. He also suggests Sam use live bait that is so lively it ties itself around him. Bugs then uses that and Sam as bait.

When the Loch Ness monster appears, a frightened Sam squirms loose and shoots off into some mud, where he is photographed as a bigfoot. Bugs ends up making money by selling Loch Ness Bigfoot cards and figurines at a tourist shop, where Nessie works the cash register.

Zip Drive

Credits

Synopsis

After yet another painful failure to catch the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote finds a parcel from Acme waiting for him. The parcel contains a computer and software that will let him simulate attacks and see how well they will work before he tries them for real.

The coyote simulates a plan, and after finding it had no chance of working, sets aside the equipment he would have used for it. Several simulations later the trash pile grows and grows as the simulator gets somewhat insulting about how unlikely success is. However, Wile E. doesn't give up, since at least he's not being clobbered by these failures. Even a very large bomb would not have worked and gets added to the trash.

Finally, after very many simulations, Wile E. finds a plan that gets a rating of 100% chance of success. As he jumps up in celebration at this news, the coyote trips a switch on the bomb and gets blown up along with the successful plan.

Th duck was lost (intentionally) at sea, to the relief of the crew and Lord and Lady Grayfeather.

Daffy, once ashore, was discovered by some gorillas and was just as popular with them as with the ship's crew and his parents. As he recalls a game of hide and seek, the taxi stops. Daffy pays, or tries to pay, in bananas. The duck also swings into action and find the gorillas. The gorillas aren't in need of rescue, they're just playing poker and Daffy has disrupted the game. Note: This is issue is the ten-year anniversary issue. The first issue of this series of Looney Tunes comics was dated April 1994. The comic was not always published monthly. Production issues made publication irregular in late 1995 and the comic went bi-monthly for 1996, only returning to a truly monthly schedule into 1997 - and later one issue was pulled together from stories already published in other countries. That month, the then-running Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain comics were not published at all. That might explain why this anniversary went by without being noted by the issue. Another reason might be that issue numbers seem to be considered more important than anniversaries. The effort put forth for the 100th issue, using many artists rather than just a few, makes this point quite well.
