Looney Tunes: August 1994

Cover

It's the Hip Fab Fun cover. The four stars, top to bottom, are occupied by Speedy Gonzales, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, and Bugs Bunny.

A big angry Martian bird creature holds a distraught Wile E. Coyote by the neck. Wile E. is wearing a napkin and holds a knife and fork. As his eyes bulge he says, "ULP! Quite right, sir! You look nothing like a Road Runner!" Around the pair several more Martians are hatching from their eggs.

- Wile E. Coyote's eyes are white rather than the usual yellow.

Synopsis

Road Runner runs from Wile E. Coyote who is chasing with the aid of his Acme Jet-Plane Simulator. Just after telling Road Runner that nothing on earth can outrun him, his propulsion sends him into space where he crashes onto planet Zilch. Zilch isn't earth, but does resemble the coyote's home terrain.

Marvin the Martian lands, without crashing, to claim Zilch in the name of Mars and more importantly the site of his instant Martian colony. First thing, he tests one of the Martian seeds which seems more like an egg. The first instant Martian is given the job of surveying the area to make sure nobody else is around. Wile E. mistakes it for a big, slow version of a Road Runner. The creature is slow enough that the coyote catches it easily, only to find it has caught him. Wile E. gets walloped and slams into Marvin's ship.

Snooping around the ship, Wile E. soon works out enough of the controls to get a fix on his new quarry. The sound of the ship starting alerts Marvin who starts running after it. As the bird pulls away, Wile E. kicks the controls, losing control and crashing into the water tower Marvin had just built.

The water prevents Marvin's pistol from firing, saving Wile E. from oblivion. However, the water also activates many Martian seeds and Martians pop up surrounding the coyote. Marvin settles on using Wile E. as a scarecrow.

Brawl Or Nothing

Credits

Synopsis

It's a big fight, the Big Bust-Up, and both Bugs and Daffy are working the crowd. Daffy selling hot dogs, and Bugs selling carrots. When the duck finds out he isn't the only vendor he's upset he doesn't have the crowd to himself. The crowd is glad of that as the hotdogs are not exactly up to expectations.

As the fighters are being introduced, Daffy distracts Bugs, then sends him crashing in front of them. Having no time to get out of the way, Bugs ends up in the ring with four fighters: a boxer, a sumo wrestler, a martial artist, and a ninja. He dances his way from the boxer only to find more trouble. Quick talking and flattery keep the ninja distracted. A karate chop by the martial artist snaps the numchucks, and a quick run moves a solid punch right into the sumo wrestler.

The crowd enjoys the escalating bout and has no time for Daffy and his hotdogs. Annoyed, Daffy trudges off, but gets an idea when he looks in a storeroom filled with items for an air show.

In a stunning moment of rational thought, the fighters realize they have a common enemy, Bugs Bunny. Just as Bugs is cornered, Daffy makes his entrance by parachuting through a skylight. This give Bugs time to escape as Daffy is the new focus of wrath. Bugs comes back disguised as a referee to rescue the duck.

At a doctor's office Daffy is told he only needs rest and a good diet. Bugs is along and offers his idea of a healthy diet...
