Synopsis

Elmer Fudd loads his car for a vacation at Chateau Snow where he hopes to relax away from Daffy Duck. Elmer leaves a sign on his door suggesting Daffy head south for the Winter. After Fudd leaves, Daffy shows up hoping for a ride. The duck finds some dropped papers about Chateau Snow and decides to go there rather than fly south. A mid-air collision with birds that are flying south triggers an avalanche which happens to bury Fudd's car as he drives to the Chateau. Elmer checks in a bit after Daffy, without either realizing that other is there, and happens to get a room right above Daffy's.

After he warms up, Elmer decides to go skiing. Daffy also plans to ski. The duck stumbles and catches himself before falling, but swaps a couple signs in the process. Daffy changes his mind about skiing and starts building a snowman instead. Elmer plans to take it easy and stick to a gentle slope but sees the signs that got swapped and goes the wrong way. Fudd sees the steep slope and realizes the signs are wrong, but before he can get away, a large ball of snow that was going to be part of Daffy's snowman hits him. Buried in the snowball, Fudd plummets down the steep slope.

Another thaw, and Elmer figures ice skating will be safer than skiing. Daffy settles on ice fishing. The pair are on the same ice, but between them are and island of trees so they still don't notice each other. Fudd skates while Daffy tries to poke a hole in the ice with an ice pick. The duck finds it rough going and digs around in his tent, looking for a chainsaw to cut the ice. While Daffy does that, Fudd skates around and falls through the ice where Daffy weakened it. Unable to find a chainsaw, Daffy gives up and leaves. Surprised fish eject an Fudd-containing ice cube from their water.

Fudd thaws again overnight and looks forward to a short bit of hangliding in the snow, or "Flake Gliding" as Chateau Snow calls it. At the same time Daffy looks into using a fast powered sled or "Snow Rocket." While Fudd is being rigged for his glide, Daffy gets his sled which isn't in the best condition. The duck's helmet also isn't a very good. Daffy's rocket sled starts out too soon and without control. The rocket snags Elmer's glider and they both go on a wild ride, with Daffy enjoying it and Elmer getting the worst of it.

Elmer has nightmares about all the things that have gone wrong. As Elmer sleeps, Daffy notices a snow making machine and ignores the warnings printed on it, turning it on. The machine fills Elmer's room with snow. Too heavy for the floor to hold, the snow and Elmer come crashing down into Daffy's room where they realize each other is there. The duck is thrilled, but Elmer is hoping it's just another bad dream.

Rodeo Ruckus

Credits

Synopsis

Yosemite Sam hasn't had any luck, at least not good luck, at the rodeo but isn't going home without a prize. Determined to win something, he tries riding a very active horse with the telling name of Ol' Spinecrusher. Sam is thrown well over the fence in an instant. He lands nears Bugs who has just found an old coin. Looking for luck and noticing Bugs' luck, and his feet, Sam figures that if just the feet are lucky then the whole rabbit should be even better. Bugs is to be Sam's good luck charm.

Back in the rodeo, Bugs opens Ol' Spinecrusher's door before Sam is ready. Sam gets trampled. Trying again, Sam is thrown again. Hoping to have Bugs' luck rub off on him, Sam rubs himself with Bugs. Another try at riding ends in disaster, showing the rubbing didn't work. Since he needs the luck to stick, Sam glues Bugs to himself.

Sam, with Bugs stuck to him, jumps onto Ol' Spinecrusher's back. Surprised and annoyed, the horse throws Sam so hard he separates from most of his clothes. The glued rabbit, however, sticks to the saddle and rides the bucking bronco. Sam doesn't crash to the ground, but instead falls into a dress and bonnet hanging on a clothesline. The line stretches and flings Sam, dress and all, back into the rodeo where he first clobbers, then runs from a bull which Bugs ropes.

Despite the rescue, Sam is upset. He complains that he didn't win anything. Bugs figures that might not be the case. Sure enough, everyone but the bull won something. Bugs' won for Best Rider and Best Roper, Ol' Spinecrusher won Best Tosser, and an annoyed and disappointed Sam won as the Best Rodeo Clown.
