Looney Tunes: October 2000

Daffy stands alone on stage, saying, "Hello, my name is Daffy and this is my comic." Daffy seems to have no audience except for Bugs, who is about to cut the rope of a catapult, which will send fruit, vegetables, boots, a boxing glove, and an anvil Daffy's way.

Synopsis

Action star Yosemite Sam is having a big party at his mansion, as reported by G! Gossip Television, and the noise wakes up Bugs who is staying nearby. The rabbit walks into the party and, after sampling some of the food and drink, asks Sam to keep the noise down. Sam responds by shooting and having Bugs kicked out. Bugs once again declares war.

Early the next morning Bugs, as image consultant Sunny Sparkles, appears at Sam's door. Sparkles criticizes Sam's look and avoids being tossed out by invoking the name of Warner Bros. According to Sunny, Sam is even less popular than an algebra quiz! Sunny brings in a supposedly typical teenage girl who doesn't who Sam is. Sam protests, citing his movie, his restaurant, and even action figure. None of these things make an impression on the girl, except for the action figure, which she plans to sell on e-buyy. At that, Sam begs for help and offers do whatever Sunny says.

Sunny starts with a plaster makeover, making Sam look like a few different popular figures before settling on a Rockhead Martin image. The result, while popular, is so heavy that Sam can't stand up. Next, Sunny has Sam at a popular spot, the Wannabe Saloon, where he is urged to light a supermodel's cigarette. Sam lights the cigarette, but soon discovers that it was the fuse to several bombs. G! reports that Sam's girlfriend blew up at him.

Finally Sunny has Sam try his hand at directing, as everyone else in Hollywood seems to want to direct. However, Sam ends up trying to direct a real polar bear at the zoo instead of an actor on a set. The bear makes a sandwich of Sam, after very politely asking for mustard. As directing didn't work out, Sunny suggests Sam try getting into a Pinchymon movie. Bugs' luck ends as he loses the hat and glasses from his Sunny Sparkles disguise and Sam realizes what is going on.

Sam chases Bugs through the Pinchymon set to Sylvester and Tweety's unamused surprise, through the set of Screech 4, and into the set of The Titanicky. The rabbit tells Sam to chill, and helps him do that by making use of an ice maker. Later, at the Academy Awards, the winner of best stuntman is announced: Yosemite Sam. He won as a result of the chasing through the various movie sets. Sam can't enjoy it, however, as he's still frozen in a block of ice.

True Hollyweird Mysteries!

Credits

Synopsis

Bugs Bunny introduces and narrates the life story of Daffy Duck, as played by Elmer Fudd in a bad Daffy costume. Daffy starts out as rotten egg, but soon hitchhikes his way to Hollyweird. On the way, he encounters Rock and Mugsy. Rocky takes the line "Hollyweird of Bust" literally and has Mugsy bust Daffy. Once he arrives in Hollyweird, Daffy has trouble finding work for which he is suitable. He fails behind the camera, and then in embarrassing and painful ways he fails in front of the camera as well.

Eventually Porky Pig, played by Porky in a Porky costume, tells Daffy about cartoons and Daffy's film career really takes off. He needs a bit of help with his zany running around shouting "Woo! Woo!" repeatedly. Alas, an anvil gag goes wrong and crushes Daffy. The real Daffy appears and berates Bugs for a poor tribute made up of bad puns, bad costumes, and a premature ending. At that moment, another anvil falls and squashes the real Daffy.

Lights, Camera, Traction!

Credits

Synopsis

A movie director muses to himself that he has an easy job as shooting a movie in Tasmania leaves Hollywood and its troubles far away. He soon learns that some troubles have followed as the female lead quits because the male lead's trailer is larger than hers. Before the director can say a thing, the male lead quits because the female lead's trailer is bigger than his. To top it off, the chimpanzee also quits. The director nearly explodes at an assistant, but he doesn't quit, he just informs the director that the stuntman has yet to show.

As the director wonders what else can go wrong, Taz appears and is mistaken for the stuntman already in costume. Taz eats a microphone, and almost eats the assistant, when the female lead returns, as she needs the money from the film to support several ex-husbands. When Taz chews up her script, she quits again.

The male lead returns, having been promised an action figure if he stayed on. He asks Taz to practice a fight scene with him, and the Devil ties the actor into a knot. Now the entire cast, and even the assistant, quits. As the director starts to sternly lecture Taz, the stuntman shows up and everyone realizes that Taz is a real Tasmanian Devil.

The moviemakers panic, and their panic grows when Taz eats the front of a fork lift. It worsens when he eats armaments, evidently including a rocket launcher. In desperation the director throws his megaphone, his chair, and even the chimp to Taz. Taz eats all of them, only adding a banana topping to the chimp. The only thing Taz doesn't eat is the script, which he spits out in disgust.

The director despairs of ever getting anything accomplished, but a cameraman reassure him that he kept the cameras rolling and there might something good on the film. The next day the director announces to the crew that Taz is their new co-star due to his amazing screen presence. When the surviving cast and assistant, all wearing casts from their encounters with Taz, hear that, they all quit at once.
